Navigating the ICF Credentialing Journey
Post 1: The Journey Begins - Understanding the ICF Credentialing Process
Welcome to the Journey
Welcome, dear readers, to our new blog series focused on the ICF credentialing journey. As a mentor coach and coach trainer, I've had the privilege of supporting many coaches through this rigorous yet rewarding process. Whether you're just starting out or deep into your credentialing path, this series aims to provide you with insights, support, and encouragement.
Understanding ICF Credentialing
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) offers three levels of credentials: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC). Each level requires a combination of training hours, coaching experience, and a performance evaluation.
ACC: Requires 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience.
PCC: Requires 125 hours of training and 500 hours of coaching experience.
MCC: Requires 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.
The journey is demanding but fulfilling, and it's normal to encounter challenges along the way. In the upcoming posts, we'll delve deeper into specific aspects of this journey and share strategies to navigate it successfully.
Stay Tuned
I encourage you to stay tuned for our next post, where we’ll discuss the emotional journey of receiving below-standard assessments and how to cope with it effectively. Your journey to credentialing is not just about meeting requirements but about growth, resilience, and transformation.
